After Years of Work, Route 1 Evolves in Fairfax County

Listen to WAMU's Metro Connection piece on Route 1!

Listen to (or read) the hour-long piece on Route 1 that NPR’s local station WAMU 88.5 premiered on its Metro Connection program.

Keep Our Neighborhood Beautiful!

For those of us who have dogs, we have the added responsibility of picking up after our furry friends. The Board receives occasional complaints about pet walkers who aren’t doing their duty (pun intended.) We maintain several Dog Waste stations around the community to make it easy to properly dispose of your dog’s mess. It’s unfortunate that we should have to remind people that this is a basic obligation.  Please be a good neighbor and always pick up after your dog!

We ask for your cooperation in keeping our sidewalks and grassy areas clean. We don’t pay people to clean up dog waste. if you leave it, chances are it’ll be there when you come back again, unless a good neighbor has done it for you. Do YOU really want to see this mess when you stroll around the area? Please do your part…Fairfax County considers this littering, and so do we.

All Residents Encouraged to Participate in our Community

It doesn't matter if you are a homeowner or a tenant, we all play a part in keeping this an outstanding community. As a community member, please consider volunteering for a committee or to help with community events; participating in community events, emailing your suggestions and concerns to the Association Board; registering on the GATHM website to get important email notifications; and most importantly, getting to know your neighbors!
